The scientific study performed at the Loma Linda School of dentistry began on 10/3/03 and was continued through 2/04. Within that time span 8 adec dental units were connected to the Waterclave system. All eight units were sampled before the beginning of the study with results that surpassed the recommended level of 500 CFUs/ml as directed by the CDC. An overnight chemical flush was performed at the beginning of the study and the duwls were tested every Friday over the 3month span. Of the 88 samples taken, only one tested waterline on one occasion failed to comply with the CDC recommendation. The Loma Linda School of Dentistry gave the Waterclave System a well deserved accolade by referring it for use in the dental treatment arena.
